I am once again honoured to extend an invitation to my peers and colleagues to attend InterAct2011 - Manitoba's only emergency medical care conference!! Continuing our partnership with both Manitoba Health Emergency Medical Services Branch and the Paramedic Association of Manitoba, this year's committee has strived to build on the successes of 2010 while incorporating the feedback provided by our valued conference delegates.

Recognizing the importance of networking & that the building of professional relationships is key in not only the success of a conference, but to building solid, long-lasting personal & professional relationships, InterAct2011 has incorporated several opportunities, including a buffet-style supper on Friday, October 28th, 2011. This complimentary meal for conference delegates, will allow for increased interaction among peers, time to casually visit the many vendors on the trade floor and most importantly, attend the Paramedic Association of Canada's (PAC) annual general meeting.

Thanks to InterAct's valued partnership with the Manitoba Health Emergency Medical Services Branch, we will once again be able to offer Alternative Route to Maintenance of License (ARML) credits at this year's conference. Building on the feedback surrounding the ARML credit program from InterAct2010, this year's package will allow for greater flexibility & freedom for the conference delegate.

Building on the successes of 2010, the EMS Awards Banquet committee has once again graciously entered into a partnership with InterAct2011, & will honour recipients of the EMS Exemplary Service Medal at a banquet on Saturday, October 29th, 2011. This gala event will also include the awarding of 20-year service pins by the Paramedic Association of Manitoba. As you may recall, this event quickly sold out last year so I would encourage everyone to register for the conference & purchase your tickets early to avoid disappointment.

I look forward to renewing old friendships and creating new ones at this year's InterAct conference and am pleased to extend a "Friendly Manitoba" invitation to InterAct 2011: Looking Towards the Future.
